It seems to be a reoccurring factor in London that I tend to meet really odd people. Most of my friends are quite odd, despite my undying love for them.
I'm having a slight issue however.
I was on District and Circle line going towards Latimer Road two days ago (Westway's climbing wall is extreme, I love it!) and a group of the likely ASBO parade appeared from nowhere. I try not to judge people, I think it's a flaw in humanity to judge someone without knowing their story.. however this changed in the space of around thirty seconds.
As we arrived on the train, a pigeon was flapping about, which is a common occurrence on the overground. As we sat down, it had scooted up under the seat of one of my friends and was just minding its own business. Then the already mentioned ASBO parade walked on with their hoods up, jeans around their ankles and blatant disability of being able to talk like any other human and one of them, giggled and for a reason that I still can't quite fathom full on kicked the pigeon.
I JUST DONT GET IT!
If anyone by chance knows anyone personally who decides to act like a prize A twat towards helpless animals, please offer me an insight into the madness? He wasn't provoked, he didn't even pretend to kick the pigeon like many of us are guilty of doing as children, instead he full on hit it and then walked off laughing with he fellow dwindling brained friends.
I'm still angry about it now, and whats worse is that I can't say anything in London, especially from people with that level of IQ without most likely getting a knife pulled on me and ending up on the BBC News headlines.
Society is fucked if we keep producing idiots like that.

Tales of the Tube: Part 2.

My boycott of Pizza Hut.
hello hello hello everyone!
I'm sorry, I've been gone quite a while but I've had possibly the busiest two weeks of my life! Being back at University is one of those things, suddenly everything is happening at once and I've been left a bit flustered!
However, I'll try and narrow it down a little bit!
My flat mate broke her arm, the poor thing! another drunken night where she was picked up, dropped and fractured her radius in the process, daft woman! I forgot how much A & E freaks me out! However moving forwards I was lucky enough to get a chance to see Les Miserables in the West End on Wednesday!
It was superb i have never felt so alive after leaving a theatre, the musical was amazing and I must admit, despite my concerns Carrie Fletcher was utterly magnificent as Eponine, she was beautiful and perfect and I couldn't flaw one single thing about her!
After leaving the theatre, my two flatmates and myself decided on going to pizza hut as a treat after being so good in healthy eating habits for 2 weeks! We arrived, were left waiting for 15 minutes before finally being seated. Once we were seated we had a table of 5 put on a table of four next to us, meaning one of the gentlemen was practically sat on my lap! My mood began to sink fairly quickly.
After 20 minutes waiting, my friend finally asked if we could have our food and drink order taken
(time is currently at 45 minutes, not even received a drink) the girl then preceded to tell me that she can't take order.
-pause-
I understand what it is like on a busy shift in a restaurant, my job is as a waitress, what i don't understand is how someone can be so rude and disregarding of your feelings as a paying guest within the establishment. It made me angrier.
-play-
finally 10 minutes after she said she had gone to get someone to take our order, the grumpiest man on the planet took our order and left, hopefully putting it through. May I add that at this stage, the table next to us ordered their meal ten minutes after us, therefore; why on earth did they receive their starter before us?
We waited another 10 minutes before finally having enough and walking out. I was raging by this point and wanted to kill someone!
I intend to pay good money when i go into any food establishment, what i don't expect is to be treated like i'm invisible, even if it is busy!
Rant over guys!

Tales of the tube
One of my favourite activoties when travelling around London is people watching. The human race as a whole are fascinating, and the way they act in confined areas never fails to intrigue me.
I have two stories to share, one involving the beautiful man snapped above, another about a man who reduced me to tears.
Coming from uxbridge i to central i was sat on the metropolitan line about 3 stops before finchley road. I had my headphones in and was listening to sixties soul machine a new compilation album. As we came up to a stop, and old gentleman came and sat next to me, nothing to indifferent about it, i sat listening to my music when Otis Redding's try a little tenderness came on, i felt a tap on my shoulder and i pulled and earphone out, ready to hear the usual request from the older generation of turn down your music its far too loud! Instead the next few minutes fill my heart with happiness. Gently the old man asked if he could listen to the music with me, in my gobsmacked state i said of course and we sat in amicable silence tapping pur feet to the beat. Aftet the song had finished the man handed me back my earphone and smiled at me, he grasped my hand and told me about when he was you ger, him and his wife had been to see otis redding play. He told me about how try a little tenderness had been one of the songs at his wedding, and finally he told me about how his wife had passed on recently, and that me sharing his favourite song and memories with him had made him so happy. He departed the train with a ' God bless you sweet child, you've made an old mans day'
Keep it together, my day got weirder. As i changed to the Jubilee line, around Bond Street I was staring around the tube watching people come and go. It took me a few minutes as i noticed this anxious looking devil getting on the tube. What surprised me is that nobody knew who he was, at least if they did, they had the same reaction as me, which involved total starstruck-ness.
To make the story weirder, i was listening to the les mis soundtrack when he got on, as i went to leave the tube at waterloo, he murmered as i walked past him 'nice song!'
In all my life i have never been so shaken from two words.
So there we have it; my anecdotes! Thankfully the actual train journey home was smooth, however nothing will ever compare to that journey.
