Then and Now

Although I'm sure my blog does not maintain a hard fellowship of readers, I find this the best way to address myself and the current issues that resolve around my life. Apologies if that is really really boring to most!

I'd like to think back to myself a year ago. 19 year old Georgia isn't all that different to twenty year old Georgia. I would have just embarked on University and possibly one of the most emotionally torturous few months of my life. I had really high hopes that I would study every night and my aim was to lose weight. .
Instead I gained the ever known freshers 15, I barely studied at all, in fact I think I gave up on lectures towards the end of the year. I had a reliable job at home, but due to screwing myself over I found myself starting university with no money. I barely drank and was horrendously awkward around people because I cared far to much about what everyone else thought as opposed to my own opinion.

In the same way that Emma Watson recently rocked the UN and opened up the issues surrounding gender equality, I've learnt to be more honest about myself.

I know that this year matters. I'm in my way home to spend the afternoon writing notes, catching up on reading and hoping to god I got away with missing two lectures last week.(I probably didn't). I've got wiser.
Although my love life as such is a vast improvement to what it was a year ago, I'm still worried I could scare Matt away, that my grumpiness and defence mechanisms will be too much one day, but then I have also got through my body issues and can quite happily look like shit and know he still loves me at the end of it and is willingly offering to spend the rest of his old man days with me.
I'be finally decided enough is enough of making excuses and have changed my diet. As a result I have lost half a stone... And counting.

In a year I have become a different person, more studious, more accepting, more relaxed and quite frankly a better person. There are still things on my list I need to fix. I need to start consciously putting my finances into place and thinking about my future.

Overall, I just need to keep adapting and letting myself grow older , wiser and better.

Should be easy...

Haircuts & Banksy.

Howdy all!

I apologise, it has been forever since my last post & considering I have now had over 1000 views I'm super excited to get back to blogging more regularly!
This post is more of a catch up/ look into society so sorry if that doesn't float your boat; however I will be making a new youtube video tomorrow so lets keep the faith guys!

I've had one of those inspirational changes in my life recently, where I have thrown all caution to the wind, taken a deep breath and now I am super happy! thats right... ladies and gentlemen I have had a haircut!!

My hair has been a long and torrid love affair between colour length and style. My dad always hated women fighting and changing from their natural style however at 14 I dyed my hair red, semi permanent and then had months of being ginger. Then came the blonde transition swiftly taken over by back to brown & then ombre and then back red and finally now I am back to a nice blonde midi cut.
There is something therapeutic about cutting your hair, it feels like you are cutting the stress out of your life... plus the fact I love having my hair played with!

So.... this is what I now look like :)

Secondly, Banksy's latest art piece has really struck a cord with me! for those of you who haven't seen it;

The reason I love it so much? because it is such a sad but dead on view of society and relationships these days. I've even started to notice that the first thing my and my OH do in the morning is look at our phones before even speaking to each other... which is horrendous. Technology has brought many wanders to the world but it is beginning to effect our personal ives in ways which I think are unnecessary and unfortunate. Do I need to know how the whole of my half friends on Facebook are doing before my own partner? The answer is no... so I have started to work out a way to cut out some of my time in social media.

I use it three times a day now, giving myself 10 days.

Instead in the mornings, if I am awake before Matt I spend my time reading a book or focussing on self motivation for the day!

I suppose this has once again been a little pointless.. the next blog is going to be about my morning facial routine that I have, sharing the products I use!

Lots of love guys, I hope you've been enjoying the wicked weather we have been having!

for those of you who would like to see more of my more updated lifestyle, my instagram is : Hellogeeg

come along and check it out?!

Raggedy Jumper.

I haven't thought of a title to this post yet, i probably won't until i finish writing this. For many of us whovians, mainly the UK right now, we've all just witnessed The Time of the Doctor.

There are a billion and one things i could talk about, but i mainly wanted to focus on Matt, after all, this episode was his sign off and his good bye, and what a spectacular one it was. Moffat neatly (though a little hurriedly) tied off the loose ends, the fear behind the door in God Complex and the b;aster crack in the wall which has been hunting him down since his first ever episode.

To me, thats the beauty of Doctor Who/ The beauty of Matt and Moffat's writing. The fact that th crack in the wall has continuously followed him through his time as our beloved time lord.

Although I remain saying that David Tennant was my Doctor, Matt Smith brought youth and old age together perfectly, he is truly a master of a script and he has created more tearjerkers than any other Doctor I have seen. Losing Matt is like losing your favourite Jumper, despite being mis shaped, a bit holey and odd, it is comforting, heartwarming, and devastating when you realise you have to let go.

His regeneration was all I could have hoped for, and my god were we treated. The last minute of Doctor Who makes me shudder and weep. Amelia Pond running through the TARDIS, swiftly followed by the first and last face he would ever see.
Matt Smith has been every little girls raggedy man, yet even more so the most uplifting, quirky, idiotic man boy that has graced the show, And I for one will miss him. Capaldi has suddenly just been given a bigger set of shoes to step into... God help him.

I just thought of the title. It stands true by every principle, and every particle of Matt's character. His energy will be missed. so much that I'm worried what the future has to offer... I think Moffats clock is striking...
