Running out of...

I feel like I'm constantly running out of things. Time, money and finally excuses!

Again, I've been away for a while, but i have been saying goodbye to my wonderful boyfriend who is now in the states for 3 months whilst I'm still over here in the UK. Which is okay! It's going to be so difficult but we're gunna be fine i can just feel it!

In otherness, I am officially beginning my training for the 10k run that I'm doing in September as of monday so i've popped my just giving page onto my blog, so if you can spare any little change that really would be amazing. I'm running for the british heart foundation so i'm really looking at getting around £250 together to make my run worth it! i'll pop the link here and yeah.. every little helps as our tesco friends would say!

Life Changes

Its nice to see my blog getting regular views again; makes me incredibly happy. On my days that I'm not on here and you want to see the more everyday blogging I do feel free to check out my Insta; @HelloGeeg. 

I update it fairly regularly and it's more of a personal insight into my life! Anyway thats not what I wanted to blog about today so back to being on topic!!! 

Seeing as I start work in about two months; I decided now was the time to get myself together, re do my hair, start revamping my wardrobe so I can look more adult; turning twenty-one is catching up with me fast and I want to be able to look as professional, yet chic as I possibly can! 

Hair

Well I've been known o mess around with my hair, grow it long then crop it short, dye it red then bright blonde (including that awkward bright ginger stage that no toner could ever fix) however this year I want to give my hair a bit of break and avoid the bleach as much as I can! I often get caught in the tragic cycle of being blonde all summer and brunette all winter! However i think i want to funk it up a little bit just before I start work and have found the colour I like!

Auburn is so multi-dimensional, looks amazing when it is in the sun and is relatively low maintenance with my natural dark hair! In terms of cut, i'm aiming to grow my hair out again currently, but it needs a good cut to get rid of my leftover bleached locks and split ends! 

Clothes

Okay I admit, i don't exactly have money falling from the sky at the moment, however, I can afford to do buy myself a staple item for a my wardrobe every once in a while. Whilst I do not have enough clothes (not even sarcasm, I barely wear half of what I own) I am aiming at maturing my wardrobe a little bit in the coming month, and I started by reliving the classic Pinafore. I wore them at primary school, and when they are teamed with t-shrts for the casual look, a blouse for a special meeting with tights and some nice ankle boots, You suddenly look really put together! 

Boohoo had a great option for me to try; which is arriving tomorrow alongside a wine coloured turtle neck shirt so I can look  nice and smart when I see my boyfriend on Tuesday for dinner without looking like a hobo! 

Secondly I got treated to an amazing pair of ankle boots from Matt as a little gift from our weekend away at the bank holiday; that made me so happy and although i tried to pay for them myself he ran off with them whilst i was changing shoes! cheeky! 

we agreed therefore that these boots are my smart boots, that i look after, polish and wear to occasions with his family and to work :D woo! 

I also bought a cute little A line skirt in the sale, whether or not that fits or makes me look hideous is yet to be seen, but it's nice to try something even if i find it's not quite as cute as i first thought; I'm all about channeling the nineties at the moment; with Jennifer Aniston as my inspiration!!!

The Quest for an Internship... PART TWO.

Hello Hello Hello!!

Like promised I have decided now is the time to let you in on my life! So I believe the last time I really blogged properly, It was towards the beginning of my second year at university! Success; I made it guys; I'm officially done for the year after two weeks that included 12,000 words worth of assignments and a five minute long stop motion animation (which will be the subject of another post very soon!)

I don't suppose many of you remember one of my earlier blog posts (nearly 2 years ago now whoops) about the Quest for the Internship but I have been ever so lucky and as of July this year will be the Production Management Assistant of Walt Disney Studios in Hammersmith, London.

I can't get over how excited I am! I applied on an off chance in October roughly of 2014, then finally got a phone call whilst I was exceptionally hungover; which i missed from my recruitment lady. I checked my Voicemail and heard the wonderful message 'I'd like to invite you to an interview'. Even hungover with last nights make up on; it was the best news I have ever heard. 

I don't like to sound too cocky, but I have never failed na interview, I like to think that upon meeting me, I am quite confident and charming; the most a girl can be when they are sweating rom every inch of their skin. 

The interview was simple, it required a short presentation in a room with my now employer, whilst you waited they played... Guardians of the Galaxy, Toy Story 3 and Pixar Shorts... with free food! BONUS. 

Anyway, i waited a week and was certain I hadn't got the job, when i received the phone call that I had indeed! i squealed and talk gibberish for a goof 10 minutes on the phone to Leanne and yeah..... I WORK FOR DISNEY. 

It's all very exciting & i will be updating you throughout my internship! 

The quest is over (for now!)

Only cause I know you'll read this...

Despite dying from what feels like the black death, i'm alone at the flat today, which is horrible. BUT Matt is home is roughly an hour & im quite excited. 

We were lazing around last night before bed, talking about reading & other pointless topics when i remembered something. 

The things we have been through in the last two years massively outweigh what some couples go through in forty. The fact I can come out the otherside and still say i love him more than i ever could have imagine loving another human being still startles me. 

In my inbox i have a lot of his old messages still saved to my phone. I read them all today and they completely overwhelmed me. I'm not quite sure how I got so lucky and how everything panned out just how I wanted but madly enough he was right. ( dont tell him i said that)  

Despite the fact I'm going back London bound next week, Im holding strong in the faith that everything will be fine, that we can get theough this. 

After all 6 minths is a walk in the park compared to two years.

Hello everyone! Sorry about the lack of writing on this blog at the moment, however I have been quite busy but in the best possible way!

I've lost albs which to me is a mega achievement because i very very very rarely lose weight whenever I try any change of lifestyle... however I have found one.

Juice plus has been superbly helpful to me, it helped me start up my new lifestyle into healthy eating, and genuinely made me more energetic & feel better! I work a 9-5 5 days a week job so finding a suitable lifestyle changer like this which i can fit around my working life is a life saver!

Its all very simple, I wake up in the morning, have a bowl of my own made clean granola, a chocolate  shake mixed with strawberries & a pint of water! At lunch, Another shake with some fruit with (full fat) greek yoghurt then at dinner whatever meal i like, They call them 'clean meals' but some of the meals I have made have been superb even though they are considered clean!

People are sceptical about 'diets' but i really haven't used this as a diet, i've used it to make my life easier, because i don't always have time to prepare myself a huge lunch! and i prepare all my dinners for the week on a sunday!

I have seen so many amazing changes now I am not only part of the distributor team but also a user of the product, people loosing albs a week by merely detoxing and then moving forward with a healthier and better lifestyle!

Tremadog; the naked climbing facility!

For anyone who is into rock climbing indoors or outdoors then they'll probably be aware of some of the great climbing adventures which are available in the uk. 

I've mentioned before that I am part of Bums (Brunels Mountaineering society) and I'm going to be the Vice President next university year! 

Speaking of which, I have just spent my bank holiday climbing in the drizzly(and occasionally sunshiny) depths of North Wales in the little town of Tremadog. (Pronounced tramadok; cheers to the welsh language!) 

I'm still relatively a baby in terms of climbing, however this weekend I did my first ever Trad climb and loved every bloody minute of it! Admittedly it wasn't very hard, only a rating of a DIF, but it was absolutely amazing. 

I may have also of got relatively undressed on top of one of the climbs and embraced nature as it should be embraced.... In my birthday suit. 

In other news, I have got the job as a student mentor next year at Uni, something I am super excited about!!! It pays amazing and fits around MY hours at Uni so overall is a massive bonus. 

In my last post I mentioned my slight unhappiness at my current childhood workplace at the moment, however there has been progress! I have had an interview for Weymouth Sealife Centre something which I am super excited about overall!!! 

Although this is a short post, I am currently on my break as part of my treacherous twelve close and thankfully the half term weather is shocking and therefore I get a looooong break!! 

I'll be doing a proper post soon, Bout something relatively exciting (maybe) so keep your eyes open & happy (almost) June people!!!

HAIR; a 2014 revolution.

It's mad when I think about how much my hair reflects my personality. If i'm feeling blue and quit frankly a bit shit, I keep it scraped up in a hideous top knot which i then hide under a hat. This is then shortly followed by the next stage which is crazy lion hair mode, my OH says it's adorable, but quite frankly i know i look like a total fruit loop!
Then there is my work hair, tied up, neat, often put in a certain way (fringe out of my way biaaaatch!) so that I can work hard without getting flustered by hair.
Finally, my sculpted curly hair, due to my own hair thickness, I fidn it extremely difficult to fully curl my hair, half the time non heat methods work better than narrow curlers, however it does hold it's volume well & matched with smokey eyes and red lips I can pull myself off as a bit of a knockout.

However, my hair colour changes haven't been as vast or wild as all of my friends. My natural colour is a very very dark chestnut brown. Honestly, I miss it so much sometimes. However as I got older, I began craving the blonde attitude so after 3 hefty expenditures on highlight, SHAZAM. I was a blonde goddess (pfft.).

This lasted until I disappeared off to University, I got bored on a weekend alone and dyed my hair bright red, sorry it was two years after the rhianna red craze, and I loved my red hair, just not the upkeep that comes with it. No matter what trick of the trade or highstreet shampoo and enhancing conditioner I bought, nothing is nice about being a faded organutan orange.

Which leads me onto now.
I am in a happy place (finally) in my life, and this has been reflected in my hair. I've tortured it with bleach and toner for the last two months and finally, one nice and easy kit later (honey ash blonde if you must know) I am back to being a golden goddess. At least... thats what I tell myself.

I've been through hell and back emotionally and physically in the last few years, but now I'm happy. I have a lovely man, a lovely group of friends, a lovely bank balance and FINALLY lovely hair.

This has been utterly pointless, I PROMISE I WILL CREATE SOMETHING OF VALUE SOON. :)

Sex,Scandal & Youtube.

I woke up this morning to a news feed which had gone mental, sadly i've had a few days off from keep track on social media, so you can imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and my phone was full of messages about several Youtuber's being involved in a consent/sex abuse scandal.

I use the word scandal delicately, I do not mean to demean anyone who has been effected by this, instead appraise them for being so brae in stepping out.You're brilliant and beautiful and wonderful and well well done!!!

however

Internet Trolls by definition are the people these types of websites try to stay away from, we actively fight to make sure everyone feels loved and supported no matter what they are going through. I don't use Tumblr as much as I used to, but after seeing some of the support there is available there It's made me re-think and want to rejoin the community. Until Today.

Carrie Hope Fletcher is my main topic of issues.
And before you all go crazy and attack me, I think it is utterly diabolical that there are some people who are blaming her for this crazy Alex Day situation, and by 'blame' I mean accusing her of  Victim Blaming. Can we all just stop, take a deep breath and think for a second.

Imagine you were in a relationship with someone you have seen the best and worst of, imagine that recently in particular he had gone out of his way, publicly apologised (as he should have) and openly discussed the changes he has undergone. Okay? still with me? Good. Now imagine your brother has just had his first child, that you are an aunty, and on the same day you have found out the man you love is being accused /publicly accepted these accusations? How the hell would you feel?

God bless the woman for having an escape to Disney for a while! She has done absolutely nothing wrong, and anyone suggesting otherwise needs a good hard slap by reality. She is a single minded, free woman, not an accessory to Alex Day so stop bashing her for supporting someone important to her.

After seeing all of these things, I can't help but hope she has somebody to talk to about all of this, because effectively, certain people are beginning to ruin what should be an amazing time for her and her family.

In other news, IM GOING HOME THIS WEEKEND. wool! i get to wear a sexy motherfucking dress, some bloody lovely shoes, I've dyed my hair, painted my nails and I am beyond exciting to be going home for a good old climbing session followed by a true (in climbers spirit) piss up :)

Almost 500... And a Review

Oh thats exciting, according to blogger I have almost had 500 page views! That makes me exceptionally happy that you lovely people are paying attention to my odd ramblings! Its a bit angst I know BUT thanks for sticking in there!

So I've decided to do a review, would you believe it! I am honestly the worst type of girl, I hate shopping at the best of times, however I came across a life saving make up item!

Its the Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm. (my shade is : 245 Audacious)

I generally avoid lipsticks, they feel to greasy for me, and they always smudge. I like to be able to snog my fella and not leave a trampy mess behind... so this little pocket sized god send is perfect! It's tip is thick, yet pointed so that you can properly trace and show off your cupids bow, whilst the sides give a nice sweep motion over the width of you lip.
For test value... I went to a meal last night. I applied before going out to meet a few friends and topped it off with a little bit of vasaline (cold weather murders my lips). Midway through the meal (and a few glasses of wine) I popped to the toilet and couldn't believe that it was still in place, no smudging and it was just as bright as when I applied it.
Towards the end of the night (up to 5 hours later) I noticed the colour began to fade, but I am very impressed!

Finally, In super drug (where I bought it) It was on offer for only 4.50 as opposed to it's RRP of £7. So yes a little bit dear, but it is so worth it!

Rating: 4/5 stars; for a high street brand, I was amazed!!!

A brief hello

Howdy! 

God, that really was awful, very doctor-esque but i am never ever saying that again! 

This is really an introduction if nothing else, I used to blog frequently but since starting university (as a film student) and having a part time job i have just been run off of my feet! However, there has been a development! Im a free woman... sort of; basically i quit my job cause it was far too much! 

This is an awful introduction! My name is Georgia, Geeg, Georgia, any variation of the word if you like! I respond to pretty much everything! What can I tell you about myself? hmmm. Ok, I'm 19, a september baby who loves books, television, rock climbing films and just about anything in between! I understand the blogging situation & to advance this and actually hear from some of you lovely people I should give you something on my recommendation! 

1) Book: Pear Shaped; a typically girly book but a really nice insight to modern day relationships and the things that happen. Its realistic & the writing really ends up moving you, with just  the right amount of sexy stuff. 
2) Sherlock... Doctor Who.... QI.... Fawlty Towers.... I could list forever my love of television & i really like something new to add to the collection!
3) Films? Classically, Pulp Fiction will always be dear to me, but so will Ruby Sparks. Its an utterly heartbreaking but beautiful film. It gave me goosebumps! 

I can't really 'prove' or recommend rock climbing, however its one of my new hobbies at university and i absolutely love it. There is no pressure and i have yet to meet an unfriendly climber! I'm the fresher rep of our club at Brunel. 

I suppose really this is self promotional; however i do also write fan fiction, I don't really have many main canons and i often go with what i get bitten by, to me its a creative outlet before i can get my courage together to start making youtube video's again! 

What will my blog be about?
I'm not particularly sure yet! A mixture of reviews, product testing, and most importantly an insight into my life! I'm possibly one of the most caring people you may ever meet; i have time for anyone and everyone & just say hi! i don't bite... not until i know you well enough!
